College and Career Prep Academy
Casa Verde High School is a career and college prep academy serving grades 9-12
within the Casa Grande Union High School District. We provide a smaller learning environment supporting positive student achievement. The enrollment is limited to 300 students in grades 9-12.

use block scheduling, a college preparatory curriculum, career
preparation, and externship opportunities to prepare our students for
life beyond high school.

Our Learning Community
It is a democratic learning community in which all participants take responsibility to make learning a positive, relative, and meaningful experience. The Principal is the educational leader, teachers facilitate the learning process, students take an active role in their learning, and parents are involved on multiple levels.
The intent of Casa Verde High School is to become
the school of choice in Casa Grande, providing a college and career
preparatory education to students and families of diverse socio-economic
means within a serene, personal environment. The school instills a
global and social awareness in its students and educates them to become
upright citizens who contribute to the community as academic scholars,
thinking and acting in a manner consistent with the school’s mission.
The school partners with the community to support service learning
projects aimed at instilling in our students a social conscience and
connection to their community.

Casa Verde just received notification that it has been
accepted as an applicant school to offer the International Baccalaureate
(IB) Diploma;

Over the next school year, we will be preparing for our
authorization visit to gain approval to become an IB school.
Overall, we
provide students with a curriculum that enables them to:

Achievement
·
Casa Verde students, on average, earn the highest scale
score points in the district, county, and state in all three categories
of AIMS, Reading, Writing, and Math;
·
In the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 school years, Casa Verde
High School topped all schools in the district in the percentage of
students passing AIMS;
·
Compared with all types of schools in the state, for
example, traditional comprehensive high schools, charter schools, and
college prep, Casa Verde High School students perform above the average
on AIMS;
·
97% of the Class of 2007 reported they planned on
continuing their education beyond high school.
